The Selwyn Foundation has recently made special emergency grants of $100,000 each to social service providers working with kaumātua and families experiencing food insecurity, as part of its Social Impact and Mission outreach.

A similar grant has been made to Te Tāpui Atawhai | Auckland City Mission to help in providing food parcels for people in need.
Auckland City Missioner Helen Robinson spoke about the levels of food insecurity in Aotearoa New Zealand at the Foundation’s AGM in October 2024.
